Where it is produced

I'm greenTM Polyethylene is produced in Triunfo Petrochemical Complex in Rio Grande do Sul (RS), located in the southern region of Brazil, in a plant with a production capacity of 200,000 tons per year.

For the viability of I'm greenTM Polyethylene production, Braskem invested $290 million in the green ethylene plant, which consumes sugarcane ethanol. The transformation of the green ethylene into I'm greenTM Polyethylene is performed in the same polymerization plants that produce polyethylene from fossil source.

The ethanol used in the production of I'm greenTM Polyethylene is provided largely through contracts with major domestic producers, whose relationship with Braskem is governed by the "Responsible Ethanol Sourcing".
