    Braskem's I'm greenTM Polyethylene had its C14 Carbon content analyzed by a one of the main international laboratories, Beta Analytic Inc., which used a method to detect fossil carbon in the sample. This analysis recognized I'm greenTM Polyethylene as made 100% from renewable resources.

  • Vinçotte

    In 2011, Braskem's I'm greenTM Polyethylene received the certification from the Belgian company Vinçotte, a global reference in the renewable content assessment. Samples from the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) families were evaluated, with the entire line receiving the maximum rating of four stars for its proven renewable content.

    Braskem's production units and its ethylene and I'm greenTM Polyethylene production processes are certified by the seal from ISCC Plus - International Sustainability and Carbon Certification, an international certification system for biomass and sustainable fuels that sets specific production standards, and that was developed in cooperation with producers from various countries, including Brazil and Argentina.

    Braskem is committed to the use of sustainable practices in its supply chain, being a purchaser of Bonsucro certified ethanol, the London-based international organization establishes exclusive social and environmental principles and criteria for the production of sugarcane and its byproducts. The seal attests to sustainable practices and allows for the export of sugarcane byproducts to countries in the European Union and Asia.
